RANGE STANDING ORDERS

Every range must operate under established rules, referred to as Range Standing Orders. These rules set the parameters for the safe use of the range.

Range Standing Orders are written to ensure all Club Members and users are aware of the conditions of use that apply to the Club Ranges. They are written with safety as the number one priority. Within the Range Standing Orders are a description of each range, the types of firearms permitted to be shot on that range, the calibre and muzzle velocity of those firearms, and any special restrictions that apply to the use of the range.

In addition to the range information, the Range Standing Orders set out the minimum safety protocols that the Committee of the Rifle Rod & Gun Club has specified must be followed by both users and visitors to the range facility.

Every facility user is required to familiarize themselves with the club's Range Standing orders, which are posted on this website and on the club notice board. Every club member has been sent a personal copy. In addition, each range has a certificate issued by the Firearms Safety Authority (Clubs & Ranges) stating what firearms may be used in that range and the restrictions that apply thereto.

If a member of the Club or user of our facilities has any comments or concerns about the Range Standing Orders, please contact the Club Secretary by clicking this link. The RRGC RSO are available as a downloadable document ( interactive PDF) by following this link.
