RR&GC TURITEA RANGE RESTRICTIONS

The club's ranges are limited to specific firearms, calibres, and muzzle velocities. This information is displayed on each range for members' reference and included in the Range Standing Orders (a full copy of which has been sent to every member and is also displayed on the notice board outside the Club Rooms).

Members are also asked to note:

The following apply to all ranges: 

  1. No fully automatic firearms may be used on any range at any time unless express permission is given by the Club Committee
  2. All steel targets to be engaged at a minimum distance of 7 meters
  3. No firearms that have had alterations or modifications made to them that make them illegal or unsafe may be used on these ranges at any time.
  4. No firearms held against a “C” Category firearms licence may be used on any range.
  5. All Courses of fire for IPSC matches and Cowboy Action matches must be approved by the duty Range Officer where applicable.
  6. The direction of fire on all ranges must be maintained to ensure all shots can be contained within the confines of the main bullet stop.
  7. No bullet impact from direct fire is permitted into the range surface.
